Bethany + Michael | Winchester Engagement Session

Bethany and Michael are the sweetest couple with the most adorable story! They met in second grade and were friends all the way through high school. They parted ways to go to separate colleges, but ended up finding their way back to each other years later and started dating! Exactly one year after their first date Michael returned to the same location with Bethany and asked her to be his wife with her entire family watching! Seriously… so amazing!

I had so much fun getting to know them during their engagement session last week! I’m so excited for their wedding in May! Congratulations Bethany and Michael!

Then their sweet little girl joined in to let everyone know the big date! She’s a cutie!

Danielle + Garrett | Family

On Saturday I had the opportunity to have a quick session with Danielle and Garrett. Being around them is so heart warming. They have a very special relationship and so much love for each other! I loved all of the sweet and silly moments from their session! I haven’t seen Garrett since he was a baby. I could not believe what a little gentleman he has become! He treats his mom like a princess… as he should

Suzy and Aaron are seriously the sweetest couples! They are so head over heels in love with each other and their joy is contagious! Their wedding took place at the Piedmont Country Club in Haymarket which made for a gorgeous venue! Plus, their colors were pink and mint. LOVE!

Kimberly + Hunter | Charlottesville Wedding

I am so excited and honored to be able to share this wedding. On their big day, it didn’t take long to figure out how loved Kimberly and Hunter are by all of their family and friends. From all of the tears that were flowing when Kimberly’s father walked her down the aisle, to all of the heartfelt toasts during the reception (there were lots of them!)… their wedding day was filled with tons excitement and emotion all around! Their sweet pup Calvin even joined in for a little bit! Enjoy!

The day could not have been more beautiful. The sun was shining, the temperature was pleasant, and the grounds at CrossKeys Vineyards surrounded by deep blue mountains made for an incredible setting for Lauren and Nick‘s wedding day. This wedding was special for me. I grew up with Lauren and in fact our parents still live across the street from each other! It was so great to be able to see these two become husband and wife! The day wasn’t just about Lauren and Nick though… Lauren’s sweet little boy Tucker was a huge part of the day. It was a celebration of the three of them becoming a family! Enjoy!

Kristin + Nolan | Frontier Culture Museum Wedding

The day started dark and cloudy. The possibility of rain was around every corner. As I drove to Staunton for Kristin and Nolan’s wedding the sky opened up and it didn’t just rain… it poured. My heart sank a little bit for my couple. They had planned an outdoor ceremony! However, when I entered the bed and breakfast where Kristin and her bridesmaids were getting ready, everyone was smiling! There was so much energy and excitement in the room! Kristin looked absolutely stunning and she was so happy to finally be marrying her best friend. No amount of rain could ruin this day for her! The rest of the day ended up being gorgeous! It sprinkled here and there, but the rain held off and Kristin and Nolan had the wedding they had been dreaming of!

I had been looking forward to Grace and Dan’s wedding since their engagement session last fall! After meeting them and hearing their story I knew that they were a special couple. They braved through years of a long distance relationship and now it was time to promise forever to each other! When I pulled up to the Joshua Wilton House last weekend, the weather was incredible and I was so excited for my bride and groom! The day was perfect. Last weekend I had the privilege of traveling to Richmond to meet up with Becca and Tom for their engagement session! The weather was incredible and the city was just beautiful! Becca and Tom are so sweet and I loved being able to get to know them. I’m so excited for their wedding in August!

After taking some pictures downtown we went to Libby Hill Park which was gorgeous!!! Get ready for some amazing spring colors!

Meet Asher. He is the sweetest little guy! I was so happy to finally be able to meet him last weekend. It’s always so special to me when I get to see a family I’ve gotten to know through photography grow! If you recognize Asher’s family it’s because they have been on my blog before! Asher’s sweet brother Silas is almost two now, which I just can’t believe! He is a great big brother! I love this family and feel so blessed to be able to be there for these special moments!
