Oh my… T.J. is just the sweetest baby! Remember Christie and Lowell’s maternity session? Well, their peapod finally made his arrival, although it was a little earlier than expected. T.J. came a month early and had to spend some time in the NICU. However, this sweet little man is doing amazing! He was actually 6 weeks old when we did this session but was the size of a full term newborn. Christie and Lowell are incredible parents. Their birth story really shows their strength! I’m so glad T.J. is home and well!

Liz + Clarke | Engaged

A couple of weekends ago I met up with Liz and Clarke and we drove to Montpelier for their engagement session. Everything was perfect… the leaves, the weather, the light, the location, the COUPLE! Liz and Clarke are both graduates of James Madison University so the home where James and Dolley Madison lived is pretty special to them. The mansion and grounds were absolutely stunning! We had a great time that day and I am so excited for their wedding next year!

What have I been up to lately? Well, I have been a very busy lady to say the least. The most exciting thing I’ve been up to is rebranding my business. I’ve spent the last year collecting little tidbits of design that I think represent myself as a photographer. It’s been incredibly fun, but I must admit… I am so impatient about it! I am on the edge of my seat just ready to show everyone my new website and logo! Ahhhh… but until then, I have some things to distract me. Like the fact that it’s my favorite season. Today, the leaves are the perfect color, I’ve had chili in the crock-pot all day, and tonight we are carving pumpkins! Good times. Good times.

My new site will be up soon, but in the meantime here’s what I’ve been up to.

Laura + Brent | Expecting

Laura and Brent are an adorable couple expecting their first baby on… well… the day of this session! That’s right, I met up with them for their maternity mini session on Saturday which was their due date! We booked the session and then everyone just kind of crossed their fingers. By the way… doesn’t Laura look good, I mean INCREDIBLE for 40 weeks pregnant? They are hoping to welcome their little boy or girl any time now. Wishing you guys the best!

Emily + Vincent | Expecting

What can I say about this session… it was AMAZING! I must admit, I loved all the pictures so much, it was incredibly hard to decide which ones to use in this post, so there are plenty for you to enjoy! I met up with Emily and Vincent at the farm where Emily teaches horseback riding lessons. Emily is actually due any day now and wins the award for bravest pregnant women of the year. She climbed up on hay, a tractor, and most impressively a horse for these pictures! I had so much fun with these two (and their dog) and am wishing them the best for their delivery!
