Casey + William | Engaged

Last weekend I met up with Casey and William for their engagement session at William’s family farm in Winchester! After rescheduling a couple of times due to weather I was so glad to get off the interstate and see that there wasn’t a cloud in sight. The farm was incredible… and Casey and William had a list of places for us to go for the session. We started out by the peach and apple trees that had lots of dreamy light pouring through the leaves and then did some by a barn with hay bales and an open field with so many gorgeous locations! These two were a dream to photograph too… you can see their love for each other in these images. I’m crazy excited for their September wedding!

I was absolutely thrilled when Erin Coleman, the amazing dress designer and owner of Peppermint Pretty asked me to do a shoot for some of her new designs! I adore her dresses! One of my favorite parts of my job is when I get the chance to be creative and style something totally different and fun! I could NOT have done this shoot without my friend Sara from The Lady Jane. I am so excited and honored to share this family on my blog. Mandy and I have been friends since middle school… and not just friends… BEST friends. That’s right folks this chick is my BFF. You know those friends who know just about everything about you? Those friends that can pick up where you left off even after months or years apart? Those friends who just make everything better… that’s her! Mandy, John, and their sweet little boy Paul are such a special part of our lives. We cherish every opportunity we get to spend time with them!

Noelle + Jason | Expecting

This past weekend I met up with Noelle and Jason who are expecting their first baby very soon! The day of their session it rained ALL DAY LONG… at the last minute we decided to go for it and I’m so glad we did! Noelle and I went to school together and the last time we did pictures together she had just found out she was pregnant. It’s so exciting seeing these two with just days left until they meet their baby girl. I wish them the best of luck!

Chandler | One Year

I can’t believe that this little guy is turning one… Seriously, just yesterday I was shooting Tara and Zac’s Maternity Session… and then Chandler’s One Month Session! He has grown SO much and he’s really not a baby anymore. He’s turned into such a handsome little boy! Happy Birthday Chandler!

Brielle | 9 Months

This cutie’s mother just happens to be one of my best friends and and I’m so thrilled that she not only asked me to do her maternity pictures, but also asked me to do pictures for Brielle every 3 months for the first year of her life. It has been so amazing getting to see this girl and her family grow in front of my lens! Love you guys!

Yes guys… I am still alive. It’s been a little crazy around here! We had an amazing vacation and 4th of July. Getting back to work has been easier said than done!!! By far the best part about coming home this time was that first thing Monday morning I opened my computer to find the images from my Golden Spring Styled Bridal Shoot were on the front page of Glamour and Grace!!! It was an incredible feeling to see the shoot featured! If you haven’t done so yet, you should go check it out!

Coaching Reunion

On Monday I had the pleasure of traveling to Richmond to have dinner with a group of incredible photographers who I’m happy to call friends. Katelyn, Michael, and their sweet dog Bokeh graciously opened up their new home and hosted a dinner to reunite all of the photographers that had attended one of Katelyn’s coaching sessions in the past. It was so amazing spending time with photographer friends old and new!!!

The first week of February I sat in Katelyn’s office and talked to her about my business. We discussed my goals and the things that would be necessary to make them happen. In my mind I knew everything that needed to happen, but to have someone like Katelyn help me organize my thoughts and give me the support and inspiration that I had never gotten from another photographer was eye opening for me. I’m encouraged and grateful for all Katelyn has done for my business. She is generous and inspiring.

At the reunion… sitting with all of those photographers… you could just tell that each and every person had been touched by their coaching session. People shared stories and accomplishments. Some people even cried. It was truly a wonderful night.

After an amazing dinner and group time we headed outside to do some portraits of another amazing photographer and friend Lauryn (who is yet another incredible person who has supported me and my business)! Couldn’t have picked a better model! The flowers were gorgeous and her dress was AMAZING!!!

Anna | Newborn

When I get to meet a newborn it brings me so much joy to see how one baby has changed the lives of the people around her. After entering the Watson’s home last weekend I immediately felt how special this little girl is. Ohhhh Anna. She is just so sweet and adorable. I could take pictures of her all day! I had so much fun with her along with her parents and “big brother” (a black lab named LUCKY).
